Oddly Enough...we have 'made it'

Often, I try to light up my stressful days at work by reading Reuter's Oddly Enough news column featuring quirky stories from across the globe.
These stories are quirky for sure but they are also true and sometimes, select stories that I read would me make me think about issues or actions which I normally wouldn't contemplate to think of.
Today, as I browse the web after the long Chinese New Year break, I realise that Malaysia is finally featured in that column - all for the wrong reasons at that!
For those who have been closely following the current news and political issues in this part of the world, you would know only too well that moral policing by religious authorities has long been debated upon and crticised by many quarters.
And now, we make it to the Oddly Enough news piece for that same old thing - Islamic spies all ready to snoop on lovers who make out in public! Can you beat that?
Now, now - haven't we heard enough about the fact that in a democratic country, its kinda not logical to be snooping on others in public?
When...oh just when is someone with mighty political powers and some sense gonna put a stop to this menace?
